The Deal Had To Be Done!

The Deal Had To Be Done!

And so it turns out the only Chelsea shirt I have with a players` name on is now defunct.

The home shirt from the last time we defended the Premier League crown will now be confined to the bottom of the draw.

Although the deal hasn`t exactly been done and dusted, with that being left until after the 2014 World Cup, a PSG statement confirms the deal is done with the statement reading,

"In accordance with the players` wish to prepare for the World Cup in the best possible conditions, both clubs and David Luiz wished to reach an agreement as soon as possible."

So 'Sideshow Bob` is a Chelsea player no more, he leaves us with some wonderful memories, including that marvellous night in the Allianz Arena, against Bayern Munich, when he shook off a injury to produce an exceptional performance.

But, with the money on offer, did Chelsea really have any option other than to sell somebody who had become a squad player under Jose and somebody whose rash moments often led to disaster, I think not!

It was a good deal for both the club and Luiz at the end. The geezer will be missed. We move on and now need to improve the squad with the right signings !

Without a doubt, this is the best bit of transfer business Chelsea Football Club has ever done in its 109 year history.

Courtois obviously have a lot to learn, he should shut up and stop trying to force CFC into selling Cech for him to be #1, he should be grateful we are even giving him a chance to take over from Cech in the future.

After a disappointing 3rd place finish in La Liga I bet Gareth Bale wishes he had stayed at Sp*rs!

Chelsea are fairly well blessed with defenders, both experienced & upcoming but David Luiz has 2 things rarely found in a defender 1) a level of skill more usual in a playmaker 2) a tendency to take risks more usually associated with a striker So as a coach, weigh the two up & decide what to do; Jose's answer- bench him because in order to win with misfiring strikers, you need to almost guarantee you don't concede, since scoring more than 2 goals is a big ask without the aforementioned strikers contributing. Then along come PSG, seemingly determined to send EUFA a message about where to shove FFP, and suddenly the problem is someone else's &, as an added bonus, we have enough money to solve our 2 biggest issues, pivot & striker. As some annoying furry animals said, "Simples"!

Well said @analooish, cant put it any better, i guess u get d exact mindset of Jose. I think we r into some surprises next season as Jose will use entirely different system & approach in 2014-2015 campaign. KTBFFH!!!!

It's amazing the lack of focus some people display. This is an article about David Luiz - not Thibault Courtois or Gareth Bale. That being said, fantastic business, parting with David Luiz. Definitely the sale of the century.

You gotta say we've done some decent business last 6 months, easily over a 100M for Mata, De Bruyne and now likeable Luiz. That should help solve some pressing needs
