Lukaku Bags Hat-Trick!

Lukaku Bags Hat-Trick!

If, as some suspect, Romelu Lukaku is to be off-loaded this summer without ever really getting the chance to carve out a Chelsea career, his prowess in front of goal continues to proven.

Last night, Lukaku was part of a strong Belgian side that were far too good for Luxembourg with the Belgians running out worthy 5-1 winners.

Lukaku, staking his claim for a World Cup starting place in Brazil, bagged three of those goals whilst a certain Kevin De Bruyne also managed to get on the score-sheet.

As I`ve said previously, keep an eye out for the Belgian side at Brazil 2014, they could be one of the dark horses that go far in a tournament that could be more open than many suspect!

lukaku oh matter how many goal you score...our coach will come with another excuse of not giving you a chance...if you werent a chelsea player then i think we would had put a 25-30 million bid on you till now...shame that you signed for chelsea so early...

Guys have said that he doesn't play well in tight spaces but you need to watch his goals yesterday and you'll know this boy has improved big time. He's good enough to play for us (but not as the first option though) i dare say.

The SPORT Bible @ TSBible 11m Number of league goals when turning 21: Messi - 57 Owen - 55 Rooney - 44 Shearer - 10 Lukaku - 65
27/05/2014 13:51:00
I don't want him to come here and be benched as it will affect his development, if BVB want him on loan we should let him go for a season, I believe Kloop will make a World class Cf out of him like he did with Lewandowski
27/05/2014 13:56:00
I hope we give him the chance as the 2nd choice next year...I will stop supporting Jose, if he decides to sell him too...
27/05/2014 14:19:00
Lukaku is good enough,he has done all he can and deserves a chance to fight for a spot in chelsea squad, even if he isn't our first choice striker next season we should give him the impression that he is wanted and he is going to be part of the club's future..Get a top striker, keep lukaku and get someone who can play upfront and on the wings maybe remy in addition with our 5 wingers/amf...then we are perfectly okay
27/05/2014 15:46:00
Class act that Luxembourg defence.
27/05/2014 16:33:00
No need to loan him out again... I believe he is gud enof to lead d line for chelsea next season bt as a second choice afta our world class striker.
27/05/2014 16:39:00
I heard Lukaku had scored a hat-trick and was pretty impressed. Then I discovered it was against Luxemburg. If we come up against the Luxemburg champions in the Champions League Final we'll be fine.
27/05/2014 17:15:00
I know some people will like to say ; "after all it was just luxembourg"..the same folks said the same when he netted a hat trick against ManU..and while we are saying this we still have El nino on our books. If it were Liverpool or City that had this snobbish attitude towards Lukaku that i have read from some VC posters then it would make sense..they have such quality at striker that they can afford to be so choosy but for Chelsea who had a striker corps of Eto o, Ba and El Nino last year to be fiddling around with getting Lukaku back to home base and firmly installed as our no 2 striker for next season is really baffling. Anyway we will see where it ends up by Sept 1. BTW to the person who suggested we loan out Lukaku to Borussia dortmund..let me say it loud and clear..if we loan out Lukaku this coming season he is never coming back. That is guaranteed. Rather than wasting his time and ours..if that is the intention we had best just sell him now. The guy is no fool..i cannot see him renewing his contract with us just to be sent out on another frankly pointless loan.
27/05/2014 17:18:00
Lukaku either stays as our second choice striker or we have to sell him for £20-25m. If we send him out on loan he will only have 1 year left on his contract next summer and his value will half.
27/05/2014 19:01:00
What hypocrisy! if he didn't score against luxembourg you will still have the same set of people come out and say stuff like 'he can't even score a such a team'. He did scored but even in spectacular fashion. The way he stepped over the ball for the first goal gave the keeper no chance of touching the ball and he struck it quite beautifully that two defenders at the post couldn't stop. And talk about how he beat 2-3 men to score the third. Having scored against top teams in the BPL its just rather sad that such a point is what folks will pick at to talk down lukaku
27/05/2014 19:13:00
@samex, the stat presented can make one's head swell really :)
27/05/2014 19:15:00
If Lukaku were English...
27/05/2014 19:35:00
Maybe everyone will drop their goo-goo balls all over themselves, too, if Torres scores a hat trick against one of the lowest teams in the world cup? Yes, the Luxembourg factor is absolutely relevant. There was an American who scored an overhead goal in an MLS exhibition match. What does that prove? Should he have been signed? Now, if he scores a hat trick against Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain, then we've got a talking point. (even England, for that matter) Speaking to kolagold25's point of hypocrisy - I remember there were those that dismissed Salah's goal in the 6-0 thrashing of Arsenal. Well... hope none of you think Lukaku's goals against the *****ants of European football is any big accomplishment, using that logic!
27/05/2014 22:36:00
If he were English, they will say he deserves the Ballon d'or, lol! He is a very good player but I don't see him getting enough game time if he comes here next season cos I don't think Jose rates him (yet), maybe if we let him join BVB on loan and he becomes another Lewandowski banging in goals left right and centre with better ball control work rate and passion on the pitch, Jose will think twice and be forced to use him more
27/05/2014 23:54:00
He shouldn't have pushed for a loan move last season. He would have been given chances to run on the pitch. He has to stop talking too much. If he can stop talking to the media and do his talking on the pitch for Chelsea, and most importantly, wait for chances as a second striker then I am all up for calling Lukaku. But will he be willing to sit on the bench for a striker like Costa?
28/05/2014 02:01:00
It doesn't matter what he's willing to do. He's under contract. Therefore, he will pay his dues, or he'll be sold to the highest bidder. Young players these days are very good at making the mistake of overstating their worth, instead of flying under the radar, and keeping a sense of humility. Lukaku gets plenty of press, so he doesn't need to say a word. He needs to just bide his time. He's not a world class player - in the same mould of say, Eden Hazard - so of course he isn't going to get time by default. So many young players shoot themselves in the foot, and cut off months or years of the formative part of their careers by shooting off their mouths or letting their egoes run unchecked. Agents/family don't help them in this area. Seems many of these are either nobodies living vicariously through the youngsters, or greedy ********s playing the game.
28/05/2014 03:39:00
Atsu, Piazon, Traore, Moses > Salah. He was a pointless signing. What about Lukaku's hat trick vs manure? If he leaves Chelsea he will go to a top club capable of winning the league.
28/05/2014 07:44:00
I'd never though salah's goal against arsenal was pointless @solid7. Lukaku plays in arguably the best league in the world and he has proved himself for two consecutive seasons now. he has scored against very good teams like maU, Citeh et 'al. Hence trying to discredit the young mans hattrick against luxembourg like he hasn't proved himself on a better stage is again what i call pure hyprocrisy @solid7
