He Said What?

He Said What?

Our respect for Ickle Stevie Gerrard holds no bounds.

After all, anybody who managed to provide our assist of the season just has to be held in high-standing.

Flicking through the sports pages this morning, there are a few comments from Fernando Torres (covered in another article) which caused me to chuckle.

Speaking about the possibility of leaving Anfield, it`s intimated that upon chatting with the Liverpool captain (and legend), Fernando was told,

"Fernando, now you have to think of yourself. Do what you have to do."

"But when I told him I had accepted an offer from Chelsea, he was gutted."

The same Ickle Stevie that turned us down, not once but twice, to stay at a trophy-less Anfield!

Steven Gerrard always wanted to sign for Chelsea. However, up in Liverpool he was made an offer he couldn't refuse, as they say in the movies.

He'd be a two time winner of the EPL if he had accepted. Guess now he'll be wondering what might have been. Would probably have 4 European medals as well, 4 FA Cups and a League Cup.

He would have joined us but for very serious death threats to his family,if signed.

Yes, he could have signed, but would have missed all the TITLES he has won from english media...

Hardly relevant now. Torres needs to be packed off too. Really tired of him getting nostalgic. And his self pity parties have reached a limit. He's been an epic fail, apart from 2-3 crucial goals, no way you can sugarcoat it!!

Now Torres is blaming all the managers from Carlo through JM for his poor form. He states the managers never trusted him .

Torres is blaming Carlo & AVB & RDM & Rafa & Jose. Chelsea don't suit his style of play. Well Fernando for starters if you could put the ball into the net when you have an open goal in front of you we might get somewhere.

I hate to be unkind to a player that still wears Chelsea blue but honestly i will celebrate like i won the lottery the day we finally get rid of El Nino be it a sale for peanuts, a loan to some club that doesnt know better or when his ill advised contract finally runs out and some other sucker picks him up on a free transfer. Getting him out of chelsea will do us so much good not only for our finances but also because of the pernicious negative aura he has brought to our panel of final third players..i am honestly so fed up with the guy.
