Bertrand on Spurs Radar!

Bertrand on Spurs Radar!

Yesterday the inference was that one of our heroes of that night in Munich, Ryan Bertrand, could be moving to Hull City in a £5 million deal.

This morning the goal posts seem to have shifted with it now being suggested that Ryan could be moving to North London to join Spurs.

It seems that the new Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, had his eyes on Bertrand when he was at Southampton. Bertrand was seen, by the Argentine, as the natural replacement for the departing Luke Shaw.

However, now Pochettino has deserted the Hampshire side to become the latest in a long line of Spurs managers, it appears that he is keen to sign 24 year-old Bertrand thereby putting a spanner in the works of Aston Villa, Hull and Southampton.

If such a deal does materialize then Bertrand will join a unique club of players who have moved from Stamford Bridge to White Hart Lane, a move that won`t endear him to the Chelsea faithful.

Unique club? Before the oil lever hit CFC, more player went from CFC to THFC. Just look at Venables, Allen, Smith etc How times have changed as once you could have said that CFC were the feeder club for THFC

It's up to Ryan and the club I guess. Some other club would be preferable.

Thanks for the history owen, you might want to start telling it the other way now as yours is too old. I think i'm in support of championblue 7mil should be good but when i remember its spurs, i just dont feel like doing any deal.

I don't like any transfer dealings with Spuds since the Modric saga. Infact i'm prepared to sanction the deal for Ryan to proceed to Hull city for £4m than to allow him join Spuds for £10m. Out of hatred & spite against CFC we went on to win the UCL & EL; but they consistently failed to achieve their goal (i.e. make the top four), not even after spending over £100m. Until & unless they come to respect or apologise, there will be no deal. They had BAE for that position, an experienced defender but chose to send him on loan to QPR. Danny Rose is not bad either, except the behaviour of mid-table teams who don't seem to appreciate what they have but always looking to grab out of favours of bigger clubs. Spuds seem to forget that recent history didn't favour them with regards to former CFC players or staff. AVB, Gallas, Gus, & Gudjohnsen did not click at the lane.

Anything less than 10m is loss to us...He is HG player & good one too...We havent given him the chance really, that doesnt mean we can undervalue him.
