Going for a Song?

Or perhaps not if what`s printed in the press today is true!

Yesterday we covered how the press were insinuating that Chelsea Football Club were possibly about to make a move to bring the Barcelona player Alex Song to Stamford Bridge.

Song, still only 26 years of age, has Premier League experience having spent time at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger.

However whilst the possibility of a move for the Cameroon international was met with a mixed response by the Vital Chelsea fraternity, a price for his services wasn`t, at the time, forthcoming.

Today (Sunday), it would appear that if Chelsea do harbour serious ambitions of adding Song to the squad then they will need to meet the Barcelona asking price which stands at a very hefty £20 million.

Now what are your opinions on a possible move for the player?

No no no to song... A DMF-CM pairing of tiago, matic, ramires and fabregas (going with the 2 players in every position idea) will do for us...Arsenal need a DMF,they can take song back and song for 20m pounds? That's too outrageous

Chelsea should put focus on Roberto Firmino instead of chasing Song... Pool is on a lookout for Firmino and hopefully Mourinho could weave his magic again...

I'll add song to the squad if he's coming as Mikel's replacement at not more than £15 million.

Whats the need of replacing Mikel with A. Song i guess keeping former as squad player is much better or any of Chalobah or Ake will be ok. About Firmino my take is that we cant have them all, except we move on any of Schurrle, Salah, Willian, or Oscar i think there will be no space for him. Dont forget we also have talented AMF like Piazon, Atsu & Traore that are ready to step up.
