Pochettino after Lukaku!

Pochettino after Lukaku!

Don`t betray us!

I don`t know what has gone on before between Romelu Lukaku and certain individuals at Stamford Bridge and I don`t know why there is a certain reluctance to bring the young Belgian striker back into the fold.

However, I have this gut feeling that Lukaku (as I`ve said before), will be move don this summer either to appease a club we`re set to raid or to simply raise funds that Jose Mourinho can use to adjust his quad this summer.

If it is the latter then the young Belgian international could be in danger of alienating himself, forever, from the Chelsea support if, as it is being suggested by the Sunday media, the twenty-one year-old puts pen-to-paper on a deal with Tottenham Hotspur with it being reported that Spurs new manager Mauricio Pochettino is considering a bid for the player.

Don`t do it young man, anywhere but there is the mantra!

I don't see any reason we should sell lukaku...the only reason might be probably he isn't a jose type of player or his relationship with individuals at stamford bridge is strained..if not there is no reason to sell lukaku, based on current ability he can be the second choice striker not to mention that he has the potential to be one of the best striker in the world in 3-4years time..on another note all the media frenzy surrounding lukaku might just be a tactic to get the chelsea board/coach to assure him of a place in the squad and to offer him a more lucrative contract...

But why should Jose and the Club management consider selling to Spurs in the first place? Are there no other teams they can do business with if the plan is to sell Lukaku. It appears Jose and the Club management don't give a damn about which Club they're selling to so we should probably direct our plea to them.

Why shouldn't they consider selling to Spurs? Their money spends the same, and at the end of the day, Spurs still have to put the right squad and tactics together, just like everyone else... I've been involved in athletics most of my life, and I still don't understand the latent fear or loathing that everyone has with their rivals. As an athlete, I always wanted the strongest competition - it helped me set goals, or improve myself. Why hoard great players, or buy them so that we can offload them to other countries, just so our rivals can't have them? Doesn't that sort of invalidate the whole notion of sport?

Had to laugh at the bit about Chelski selling Lukaku to 'raise funds' - do me a favour - Roman has been buying success for Chelski for ten years with his roubles - still there must be a few Chelski and City supporters who get some satisfaction from buying trophies. COYS

Never could understand why he was never given a run at Chelski. You don't have a striker worthy of the name in your entire squad and this kids been banging them in for fun. Still your loss will be someone elses gain. He has already said he wants to leave so he won't be staying, just a question of where he ends up. I for one would be happy to see him at the Lane next season.

well @merlin you should perhaps be telling the club not to deal with the spuddies than telling lukaku not to. However, i don't see the club doing business with them tho. Since modric they have stepped on the wrong toes

No way will we deal with spurs even for all the money in the world. The Modric saga is still fresh in our minds. Lukaku has two years to run on his contract that means the club is in full control of the situation so if he must go a suitable foreign buyer will be found although i don't think he's leaving. He'll stay at the bridge.

Why would Lukaku want to downgrade to a team that is always punching above its weight ?. Actually yesterday he was running his big mouth again claiming he wants to go to La Liga forgetting he is under contract with us for two more years . As much as i would love to keep him as he can only get better i imagine his mouth is making him no friends with our board .

Spurs are not good enough for Lukaku. They will ruin him like they did Soldado.

When lukaku was 16-17 i said then he would be a top world class striker and i prayed the spurs would get him so i hope it finally happens as you lot can only buy success and so on. Garth bale the first 100 m player at 16. Got that one right so sign him up dan levy he will make another 60 m extra on sale value

Keep dreaming bazdog. Spurs don't deserve top players. That's why they leave.

Of course Bazdog. What use is £100mm when it will be wasted in less than a months?

Lukaku wants to play in UCL , so no to spuds.... He definitely has a better chance to shine in Atletico or Dortmund, and also, he would bang in more goals, and will most definitely play in UCL every year..... I agree that he should not be benched, but also, he's not ready yet to be a first choice striker for us

Sell him to Spurs if they want him.It won't take them long to find out that they have bought another dud player. He will never have enough quality to be a top player,so get as much as we can for him as it's clear Jose doesn't rate him,so ship him out with his big mouth.

No business deals with Spurs. Haven't forgotten how Levy denied Modric a move to Chelsea. Ship Lukaku abroad.

17 and 15 goals excluding his international goals. Those goals could won the league for Chelsea.
