Toni Kroos a Mourinho Target?

Toni Kroos a Mourinho Target?

Aha, compliments of the silly season folks!

This one is a rather interesting one especially coming barely 72 hours after the Chelsea boss poured cold water on Real Madrid's interest in our midfielder Ramires, but Spanish daily El Confidencial are up this morning with an exclusive that although several news outlets have been covering the consistent interest of the Spanish capital club in the 24-year-old German for some months now, Chelsea now pose a stiff competition for his signature, possibly as a fallout of their pursuit of Ramires who is the preferred choice of their manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

According to the report, the Chelsea boss has sanctioned a move for the central midfielder said to be worth €8.5m a season, which is nearly double the €4.5m he is currently on at the Bavarian outfit and more than what the Madrid club were offering, and the inference out there is that the player would prefer a move to the Premier League rather than the La Liga.

So you'd do well to keep an ear to the ground on this one as you can trust us on Vital Chelsea to bring you more details as they become available.

Surely, while the rest of the world is away at Brazil it would appear the Special One is silently building a team in his image ready to challenge on all fronts next term as he promised, what with the capture of Cesc Fabregas and the assurance on Diego Costa, but is Kroos really a target we need? As replacement for Ramires or John Mikel?
Yes, I would think so.

How about you?

Our interest in Kroos means two things, 1. Ramires is gone 2. We are playing a standard 4-3-3 setup next season.

Had a sneaky feeling we'd have a go for him. Yes, he is a luxury, but he is top draw. Mikel will leave 100%. Ramires might. But, to challenge in 60 games a season you need a big a squad as possible. The 4-2-3-1 was built for Mata. Mata is gone. Jose is bringing in players to rebuild his 4-3-3 machine that was so dominant last time out.

kroos is what we needed before we signed fab...he is the perfect box to box player...i think next season we must be a 4 33 system...the kross matic fab with oscar haz costa/lukaku will be the best....

Someone has to give a proper advice to the Kid in Lukaku...Now, he opens his mouth and talks about his rumours to Juventus....I get really annoyed with him...why not concentrate on world cup and then discuss his future with chelsea....If he gives one more interview about his future, I wish we sell him to the 2nd rated teams with a 50% sell on clause or give him a malouda treatment.

ParkedTheBus 36m Doubt we'll sign Kroos but bringing in Fàbregas, Diego Costa, Filipe Luís & potentially Lukaku & Courtois in one summer is a madness.

The midfield would be flooded once again in the attacking department. I like Kroos as a player and would have prefered him to Fabregas as he is also technical but far stronger than Fab. Except Ramires is sold, i don't see all this players coming in to seat on the bench. If Mikel is sold, i would rather love us to get a Defensive pllayer with box to box and creative skills. I don't trust Ramires on the ball at all and wish he can be sold but it seems that Mourinho is going to stick wiht him nevertheless. > anyway this goes, we are gonna have a fearsome team next season..

He is a fine player. But with Fabregas in, integrating Kroos in our playing XI with Oscar Hazard Willian around will be difficult. So it could be a rumor.

If kroos have to come in we would have to sell either mikel or rami. A player like kroos and fab we definitely request for lots of playing time and i don't see that both of them getting such only if we revert to 4-3-3 which consequently will affect the gametime of some of our AM players. However, kroos is a player i had loved his style since i saw him played for germany at U20 level. I wouldn't mind his addition but i am sure the media is only making this one up.
