The Hazards of Barcelona
As reports, okay, beg your pardon; as ridiculous reports in Spain infer that our friends over at Catalan outfit, Barcelona are lining up Eden Hazard as Plan B in case their purported pursuit of one Luis Suarez falls through, amidst counter-reports that Chelsea target and Chilean hitman Alexis Sanchez might be thrown into the mix as makeweight for any potential move, an idea hit yours truly this morning.
According to the reports, Barcelona will offer Liverpool £56 million plus the £25m-rated Alexis Sanchez for Suarez, which I think is a win-win situation for the two clubs; surely Suarez is worth £81m, right?
Now would/should Chelsea, after rebuffing all attempts by PSG to get them to the negotiating table for Hazard, trade the mercurial 23 year-old Belgian - for whom the French champions offered about £70m just a few weeks ago - for the same terms Barcelona are offering the Scousers for their Uruguayan talisman?
Of course, methinks the Scousers won't do the deal as they can't afford to since their existence as a football club arguably depends largely on Luis Suarez; so as Chelsea fans, do you think £56m plus Alexis Sanchez for Eden Hazard represent a good doable deal?
