Dortmund Deny Aubameyang Chelsea Move

Barely 24 hours before the summer window of wheeling and dealing officially slams open, German outfit Borussia Dortmund have wasted no man hours in pouring cold water on any purported bid Chelsea Football Club may have made for their striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Recent reports in the tabloid press had claimed the
25-year-old Gabonese, who arrived the Bundesliga outfit just last summer from French Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne, was being put up for sale by BVB over concerns for his lack of defensive work, and that he was close to joining Chelsea with a bid of €7m having been submitted and accepted; but this morning Dortmund's Sporting Director Michael Zorc has denied receiving an approach from Chelsea for the forward.

"Nothing has arrived with us", Zorc explained to Bild, when questioned about Chelsea's interest.

Erm, it doesn't get any simpler than that, does it?

And talking of simple; with the fleet-footed striker's senior career numbers simply phenomenal—averaging a goal every other game for any club lucky enough to have him on their books—wouldn't the other side of his game, that of defending and backtracking, simply prove another turn-off for the simply defense-oriented Jose Mourinho?

I hope it doesn't Mata though if we eventually do submit a bid.

But what are your thoughts?
Do you think we'll submit a bid for Aubameyang soon or that he's what we need in the first place to alleviate(please note I didn't say eradicate) our well documented striking woes?

€7m is going to be a steal...he is the fastest i have seen apart from Bale...if he can maintain his scoring vision, we need't worry about his defensive workrate...conversion rate is most important i expect from him or any striker we play...

Chelsea's transfer activity seems to have ground to a halt , where United's has got into first gear and motoring on sweeping up all our targets , Carvalho , Shaw and others . WTF is going on ? We cant even wrap up a deal (Costa . Luis) that we have been on for ages

chillax guys.... Costa deal is done and will be announced....... Luis is unlikely.. seems unlikely you know..... he's just so expensive as a leftback..... Azpi for 7m... that was a fecking steal..... we need another one like Azpi......... how about Sociedad's Jose Angel ? or Alberto Moreno ?

I don't know whether Peirre is the best we can get. I still believe we need a smallish striker (livewire striker) that is a fox in the box and can be effective in tight postions. *ubumeyang would be deadly on counter attacks.. Against teams that seat deep however, he would be next to useless. I don't see him holding up play upfront alone against the likes of Stoke etc just like didier

one reason I won't mind abumeyang is his conversation ratio, I managed to get some bvb games last season on super sports and the guy can score, his faults are not what José can't fix in 3 months if he is hardworking and willing to learn ala Willian, we need goal scorers and abumeyang is one, he was played out of position by Dortmund majorly on the wings so lewandowski strikes, abumeyang's best season that made bvb notice him in France was as a striker. feel free to check who scored for more info

There is nothin g like forced. we own his as***ssss. however if this is a deal concucted out of respect for Cech and Lochillon, i woun't be sad goes for one more season on condition that he signs a new contract for another 5 years.
