And So It Is Finally the End

And So It Is Finally the End

Today is a very sad day.

June 30th marks the last day of the Chelsea career of Frank Lampard.

After a long association with the club, an association that has seen Frank elevated to the status of legend whilst also entering the record books as our all-time leading goal-scorer, during his 648 appearances for the club, at midnight tonight his contract is up.

No official announcement has been made with relation to his future but there are strong hints that he`ll be appearing in the MLS for New York City.

Therefore, as we bid farewell to a legend (although I`m sure we`ll see him again sometime) we`re offering you the chance to post a farewell message for Frank whilst also recalling your favourite Frank Lampard moment.

Right, who`ll get me underway?

Words can't describe how much of a legend this guy is. Immaculate on and off the pitch. In my eyes the greatest player we've ever had! My favourite moment of his will always be the penalty vs Liverpool in the CL after Pat died; brought me to tears!

Thanks Frank for all the goals especially that peach of a golazo against Barcelona at Camp Nou. Thanks too for nicking the ball from none other than the merciless Messi for the Ramires golazo which confirmed your eternal legendary status in the pantheon of European Greats! More so, thanks for your 'revolutionary goal' in South Africa which helped revolutionize our sport to leave FIFA with no choice but to introduce goal-line technology in the game. #SuperFrank. Franks for all the memories mate, and catch yer soon ;)

Penalty versus Liverpool after his mum passed away. Definitely the most memorable highlight I can think of, the emotions involved and everything combined really made it special.

I have said a lot on the topic since the news broke.. But one again thank you Frank for all that you have done in service to the club. You are truly the best ever player in our history. Thanks for the memories. #LEGEND #ICON #FL211 #8 #SuperFrankieLampard #CFCforever #GreatestCFCplayerEVER. All the best in future life and career and hope to see u back soon....... Too many favourite moments to name just one, but I guess the brace against Bolton to win the league after 50 years stands out for me.
