Chelsea Target Cuts Contact with Club

Chelsea Target Cuts Contact with Club

If anyone was wondering quite why the proposed transfer of Filipe Luis, from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea, has appeared to have stalled, it`s not from want of trying by the Brazilian left-back.

It would seem, from reports in some news sources, Luis is still very keen t become a Chelsea player and has, if the reports are correct, cut-off all contact with the Madrid based club in order to force through a move.

Now whether this turns out to be productive or counter-productive or even becomes part of the ongoing saga relating to Thibaut Courtois wanting to stay in Madrid for a fourth season remains to be seen!

If that was the case in Luis deal, then what as well is holding up Diego Costa deal?

If Luis coming to chelsea means, TC staying at AM for one more season, we should back off....There are plenty of LBs in the market....

I think this is a matter of us not wanting to pay the 24mil euros buyout clause in filipe's contract. The board probably feel they could get him for lesser. Part of the reason i chuckle at the idea of people who think we will pay 45-60mil for pogba.

Also by blocking all contact from athletico and trying to force a move, the more reason i see athletico wanting the whole fee for filipe to be paid. They are probably gutted with him. If that is the case, we probably have to make athleti pardon him or we just pay the whole sum already

No Kola. We can walk away from the deal. They already have siquiera and theycannot afford to have the two in their squad. Particularly an unhappy Filipe. A. Madrid board are very greed it seems

we should get the TC loan fee (6-8m euro) waived from Luis's release clause or Costa's fee...else, we should walk away from the deal...

Rumours are that we want to deduct the TC fee from the 32m Pounds release clause of Costa but AM are being stubborn.

DiMaria has made it clear he is ready and willing to leave Madrid. He is available for £35m. Madrid to replace him with James Rodriguez.

I seriously doubt Di Maria would be made available by RM. They must be foolish in the extreme to sell a player like Di Maria for Rodriguez. But (God willing ) they are that foolish, we should bite their hands off and take him. He would be an absolute sensation on the Right.
