How Would You Feel?

How Would You Feel?

According to the majority of the news sources Barcelona are keen to secure a deal with Liverpool for the services of the wannabee cannibal Luis Suarez.

In fact the wheels have been set in motion whereby the Catalan club has already gotten Suarez to issue a public apology relating to his most recent cannibalistic action.

Liverpool, having stood by their man after he`d bitten our very own Branislav Ivanovic, now it seems as if they believe they have to cut their losses and sell the Uruguayan striker.

Rumours doing the rounds suggest Barcelona have offered Liverpool £60 million for the player whilst other rumours infer that Liverpool are after a fee closer to £80 million, which brings me round full-circle to the point of this article and namely the $64,000 question:-

What would your views be if Chelsea were to suddenly declare an interest in a striker we know can do the business in the Premier League?

I'd be gutted. I don't like his antics. We already have a lot of stick from the media who don't like Terry and Jose. The club will suffer real bad if he bites some player (which is likely to happen as soon as he returns from the ban) while wearing a blue shirt.
02/07/2014 08:36:00
If we could trust him to have left his antics in the past...even though it would stick in my gut ... id be prepared to have him...but I certainly would NOT feel good about it
02/07/2014 09:04:00
I hardly call 80-100 mil "cutting their losses". I'd call it damn good business. Liverpool aren't going to do any better than they did last season, anyway, so the time would appear to be right. And when some fool flashes that kind of cash at you when you have a known liability on your hands, you don't think twice. Great on Liverpool for dreaming big. If we had him, we'd do it, too.

I would hate to see that disgraceful player in Chelsea blue. Never ever.

would be a huge loss to Liverpool! if hey kept him and keep buying players to fill the squad with depth they will be right up there again next season. with lallana, lambert, can, origi and maybe markovic they will a hell of a lot stronger! will be a fantastic seaso with all the top 5/6 teams buying big players. harder to win and even harder to call. love it
02/07/2014 10:38:00
He will be a great addition to our team...He will score 50+ in the current chelsea setup.
02/07/2014 11:56:00
Never buy from Liverpool even if the player is the lovechild of Neymars sister and Messis younger brother...
02/07/2014 12:15:00
Time to give your season ticket back.

Best post on the subject by Gian Franco..surely one would think we would have learnt our lesson by now. Of course Liverpool should sell..we have no business touching that hybrid of a cannibal and Vampire with a 10 foot stick and mark my words Barca will deeply regret buying this guy. He will never reach for them the levels he did with Liverpool but worse you watch..a team house with Neymar, Messi and Suarez ( an Argentine, A Brazilian and a Uruguayan all alpha males who want and feel that they are "the man") run by a lower cadre manager who hasnt won anything significant to date..this will be fun to watch when the egos create a total meltdown in Catalonia. Those jokers need to be working on their defence and seeking a replacement for Xavi but are once more showing that they seem to have lost their marbles..they dont have problems scoring..they dont even need Suarez but they will sink into more indebtitude to the Qatar foundation for the sake of vanity and keeping up with the Joneses.
02/07/2014 12:52:00
Agreed@Gian-Franco & well said GabeU, yes never buy any ex-Liverpool again. Out of the three acquisitions in recent years i.e Torres, Benayoun & Meireles it was only Raul Meireles that gave us an above average performance. He moved on at the right time & got something out of the deal, whereas same cannot be said of Benayoun & the record flop Torres.

I disagree GabeU! Suarez is one player I dislike with so much passion for his terrible attitude and antics and for being a liverpool player but his quality is only second to messi and ronaldo. He would be great at barca and if they can be able to massage the egos of those front three to be able to form a partnership then they would be lethal! Would I want him at chelsea, I would say no cos though barca is more likely to succeed in managing his PR, I can't see chelsea succeeding in doing that and the outcome can be disastrous on our team and club reputation.

I absolutely agree with #gian-franco/luca ( lollll!!) and @Gabeu. We should steer well clear of this.
02/07/2014 14:44:00
@Chelz Akamz i have no doubt of the quality of Suarez and he may well be the 4th best player in the world but Barca already have arguably the 1st and 3rd best players in their did it turn out for them last season? There is no way Luiz Enrique will be able to manage these egos and his central midfield and defence are essentially crumbling. Since Carles Puyol retired Barca hasnt had one half decent CB and with Xavi on the way out and Fabregas gone their central midfield will be on the slight shoulders of Iniesta alone..They also have a young new inexperienced goalie..they have major problems and holes elsewhere..forwards and goal scorers are not where their problems lie. Those guys have lost their marbles..i cannot wait to say "i told you so" when this misadventure blows up in their face and Liverpool will just laugh their way to the bank while they ensure they get Alexis Sanchez as part of the deal.
02/07/2014 14:50:00
@GabeU I now get ur point! Just like u side, it will be difficult for Enrique to make them all happy and that goal scoring was never a problem but defence and midfield(with xavi's imminent departure and loss of Fab). But then u never can rule out Enrique getting it out with the 3 of them plus the transfer window is still a long way from closing and they might still be able to bring in a world class centre back(they re seriously being linked to PSG's 19year old defender, can't remember his name).

I would only want Suarez to make sure nobody else in the EPL had him. If he goes to Spain I'll be happy. He really is the most disgracefully behaved footballer I have ever seen. Ironically, off the field he is supposed to be a decent family man.

So what has happened to Barca's moral high ground ?,all this "more than a club "crap ,and "the Barcelona way " . They are becoming the biggest hypocrites in Sport , tax cheats ,tapping up ,shady finances ,now Suarez . When Atletico won the La Liga title ,Messi stood on the side and refused to congratulate the AM players . For many reasons i hope the bin dippers do not sell Chewy Louis to the self appointed football gods . As for the dippers how many more attackers is Rogers going to buy ?,but if he ignores defense than its teams like us that will punish him .
