'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Playing the Waiting Game

In a subject that we`ve touched on before, it would appear that a certain centre-back is awaiting confirmation of our reported interest before he commits to a move.

The media`s reporting that Manchester City continue to chase the centre-back Eliaquim Mangala with it being inferred that he is viewed, with the club under FIFA spending restrictions, as their last big money signing of the summer.

It appears that Manchester City has met the 32 million buy-out clause in the players` contract but that the player has not committed to a move to the Etihad Stadium as he would prefer to join up with Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

But the big question just has to be - is Chelsea`s reported interest genuine or media manufactured?

If this guy is that good, why is he staying on the French National team for Varane, Konscielny and Sakho (of all people)? 32mil is good enough to price sanchez from Barca

We really don't have issues with the CB positions at least for this season.

No thanks. It's a luxury buy. Not necessary.

A total waste of Money... Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic Zouma . why and where for the love of God would he play? is this suppose to be a necessity or an indulgence... we already had the best defense iin the league last season. no point in changing a winning team.

The media look to be doing our scouting job for us. we have been linked with uncountable players ever since but no results. I hope we get Varane to fill our CB if Zouma is going on loan. He is the quality we need and also a Mourihno type of player. What we need now is a CB, LB and probably another striker (if Lukaku is not ready to gain his position), and we are done for the season.
