It's Done Now - Lukaku wants out of Chelsea!

Controversial Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku, 21, desperately wants a permanent move away from Chelsea before his Stamford Bridge career even got underway, but will turn down a purported £20m move to Tottenham because he wants Champions League football, so the papers are saying.

One of such papers, The Express, are running with inferences and quotes attributed to the youngster, who following his *£17million move from Anderlecht in 2011 had spent the last two seasons on loan at West Brom and Everton, that suggest the spotlight-loving kid whose contract runs out in 2016 feels he can't be totally free to get on with his career with yet another loan move which is something Chelsea were reportedly considering.(*initial upfront payment of £12m plus performance related add-ons)

"What I don't want is to be loaned out," he said after crashing out of the World Cup with Belgium.

"I am 21 and I have been loaned for the last two seasons. Thibaut Courtois was loaned for three seasons and will be without doubt the first-choice Chelsea goalkeeper.

"And Kevin De Bruyne has been transferred permanently
to Wolfsburg. They are free in their heads - it is not my case. That [a permanent move] would free me totally."

Although the player who previously claimed to be a Chelsea fan and always dreamed of playing in our royal blue shirt hasn't expressly stated he wouldn't play second fiddle to any of the older and more experienced strikers on our books, it is apparent from his latest media soundbites and previous ones that his mind is already set on 'greener pastures' and nothing would assuage his feelings.

Don't you think so?

So, is this the last straw that broke or will break the proverbial camel's back?
Is it good riddance or perhaps you are of the opinion this is one sorry debacle with Daniel Sturridge written all over it?

Invariably, and despite what his critics say, it is obvious the lad isn't all brawn and no brains by rejecting that tiny club on the backstreet of N17 well in advance, don't you think?

We should cash in on him ASAP...... He has a mouth bigger than his footballing brain........

To be honest, I am tired of hearing him speak. Granted that he is still a kid, but Chelsea is not Everton, you have to grow into the role of a sole striker. If he wants to leave, he can leave and please let Chelsea sell him outright!

Dis guy talks too much. Does he expect to walk straight into chelsea line up? Dose he think chelsea is everton? Or west brom? He does nt want to fight for his place in d squad. I wont be be sad to see him sold bt chelsea must hold on for a good profit nd buy anoda striker. God forbid if anyfin happen to costa. I dnt want to suffer d pain of seeing torres as our main striker again
08/07/2014 13:03:00
just let him go. he talks too much. Chelsea will be OK without him no doubt
08/07/2014 13:06:00

is that a confirmation of jose's statement that courtois will play for us next season? thanks kraken

Lets wait for official position on this Lukaku matter hoping it 'll come as soon as possible as lingering over it has become so boring. If the club feel he is not in our plans, let them pay CFC valuation or anything close to that. And if no club wants to match that then of course he is not in hot demand & therefore sign an extension & proceed on loan or play as 2nd or 3rd striker, contrary to that El-Malouda bekons till summer of 2017 during which he shall walk away free.

@Stamford - LOL! Are there any left?
08/07/2014 13:23:00
The club must always have upper hand in deciding what happens to future of players, as such CFC bcannot spend such a huge ammount for a teenager & accept loss by allowing him to walk away, to where? He must be dealt with departmentally & make him realise whatever must be on the club's terms. We still regret letting Sturridge walk away for nearly peanuts i must say, & subject be warned of the severe consequences. I rest my case until official position is announced pls!

Whoever said players have to be easy people to manage... ? They are bought for their skills etc on the pitch - they arent bought for their good looks (though it helps in their value) but mainly their skills .. Lukaku has plenty of skill... lets give the lad a chance.. Look at Balotelli and others .
08/07/2014 13:23:00
I think we will regret it if we sell him.. Sturridge Mk 2 definitely
08/07/2014 13:24:00
I hope Chelsea play hardball with this, in Lukaku's words, he is an experienced goal scorer. He has played in a WC as an international. He wants CL footie. Well let's see what his valuation is and whether any of the top european (CL) clubs are interested. If AM come sniffing for a bargain, tell them where to go, unless they drop the price significantly on Luis. Even then, for AM CFC should state that his 'release clause' is £30m. LOL!
08/07/2014 13:28:00
Skill and Lukaku are not two words I would put in the same sentence!!!
