Mourinho on Title Race

Mourinho on Title Race

Is the 2014 / 2015 season the most anticipated ever?

It`s a question that we`ll each have our own feelings about.

However, there`s no doubt that it has the potential to be the most tightly contested title race for many a year with Jose, when asked about the subject, remarking to the media,

"Why I like the Premier League so much is that at this moment, nobody knows who is going to win the title."

"In Italy and Spain, I could say who would be first and second, or the other way around,"

"At this moment, I think in between us, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City - who is going to be first, who is going to play in the Europa League, I don`t know."

"My concept is this is the best league, because the concept is competitive teams."

"When I was in Spain and we won the league we won every game. The league was decided by games against Real Madrid and Barcelona."

"Is this a top league? Not for me."

Interesting stuff from the Special One, but how do the bookmakers view things?

Well it appears that they favour us with Chelsea being installed as 15-8 favourites to win the Premier League title!

Jose deep in his mind knows it's first or bust. We must win the premier league title this time.

ManU not playing any european games with Van Gaal at the helm worries me. And am with @magic its time to forget first or bust as if you look closely you would understand that the difference in our squad and that of other top4/5 is not so great if not equal.

The proof is in the pudding, if that makes any sense. Jose might do it, and van Gaal might but we can only know for sure when the season's over. If we factor in the number of games, squads and experience between the two managers things look in our favour. Arsenal City and Liverpool will pull some surprises this year. MI'm hungry.

My money's on Jose and his team. We have good collective experience among the team, be it in the epl, Europe or internationally . Excited for the season.

We'll not go trophyless this season that's for sure. But the EPL will be tight... Hopefully we end up with the EPL title.

The above was Mou's statement in 2013/2014 season. Let's wait for what he would say of the new season. Then, our comments will be meaningful.

I am almost certain that Liverpool is dropping out of the top 4 this season..there is no way they will recover from the loss of Suarez sufficiently. I think Manu will return to the top 4. The team i think needs to worry us is Arsenal..those guys have had a decent transfer season thus far..picking up Debuchy, Sanchez and possibly Ospina are not minor upgrades. If they remain fit..especially Walcott and Ramsey this will be a very dangerous side..i am so glad Wengers penny pinching seems to have kept khedira away from them. For us to win the BPL this year what we do in the rest of the transfer window is critical. In my mind we need to get a quality CM partner for Matic (we dont have one right now bottom line) and we need a second striker who offers something different from Costa because it now seems abundantly clear that Lukaku doesnt appear to have a future with us. If we get those two spots sorted we have as good a chance as City to win the title.

The league will be harder this year. Liverpool may be out of top 4 with signings like Lambert and Lallana but Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd are a real threat.

Though arsenal has been doing well since the signing of ozil to date but they still aren't yet on our level i am afraid. If mou makes us fire the way i expect from him, i expect nothing but the title. I remember how ruthless he had to be with madrid to win the La liga over Barca (literally the best team in the world then) with record breaking point. When it comes to sheer competitiveness, these coaches has nothing on mou, wenger to say the least.

Agreed @GabeU we need a very good CM to partner Matic in the pivot e.g Khedira or Pogba will be ok having moved on Mikel or Ramaires. However i disagree about 2nd striker as some latest report coming out has it that Jose has agreed to keep RL in Chelsea as 2nd striker to challenge DC. I don't know how reliable the news sources but read in more than three papers reporting same. So there you have it mate, contrary to that i'm with you 100%. KTBFFH!

Nope @ f_v its not Jose that is clueless against Atletico rather Tata in your beloved Barca & yourself in Vital Chelsea. Call us whatever as you are on a wrong forum &/or thread to attack JM & expect us to agree with you,........ only f.....s kept doing the same thing over again & expect different result. By the way the transfer window is open, don't worry we 'll prevail on uncle Merlin to release you on free transfer to Barca fans forum or elsewhere as we can't tolerate unnecessary attack on Jose here, ok. Finito!
