Chelsea Loan Update

With numerous fringe squad players set to go out on season long loan deals, we have an update on who might be going where.

According to the tabloid press this morning, this is how the grass lies:-

Ryan Bertrand - Despite spending the majority of last season up at Villa Park last season, it seems that Aston Villa will not be taking up the opportunity to purchase one of our Allianz Arena heroes. Instead we believe that Ryan has gone to Southampton on a season long loan deal. We wish him well.

Josh McEachran - With several loan spells already under his belt, it looks as if 21 year-old Josh is no nearer making a first team impact at Stamford Bridge. It is now being suggested that Josh is to be sent off to a familiar destination for Chelsea youngsters, Vitesse Arnhem.

Patrick Bamford - Despite protestations that Chelsea would prefer 20 year-old Patrick to ply his trade in the Premier League, after scoring prolifically for the League One side MK Dons and the Championship side Derby County, we understand that Bamford will be off to Middlesbrough on a season long loan.

George Saville - The 21 year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bretford, as the League One side won promotion, was tipped to team up with his former boss, Uwe Rossler, at Wigan Athletic, however, the word is that Saville is also on the way to Middlesbrough.

We`ll provide details of any other loan moves we hear of when they become available.

bamford should be loaned at a pl club...he needs an upgrade from championship..

All of them should seek permanent moves away from the club, none of them will make it here, particularly sad for mceachran as he was a top prospect few years ago and I had high hopes for him, another talent wasted.

I disagree that Bamford should seek a PL loan. If he gets a PL loan he will not see a lot of game time, and what he needs now is to have a full championship season, and a good one at that. Next season PL and then possibly Chelsea if he doesn't mutually decide to split. If he does that, I am sure it will be for a good profit and Chelsea will have someone lined up already to take his place. Some people are being too sentimental and too disappointed if things don't work out at Chelsea as they predicted or wished.
FS
its not a problem @oscarr, let them just put the work in and improve so we can atleast sell them for good profit.

Regarding the article, Vitesse for Josh seems good to me, he can atleast find his feet again while challenging for champions league footie. Bamford can go to QPR or Middlesborough while Middlesborough won't be such a bad place for saville too. Having Bamford, saville and omeruo in the same place i believe will help them settle and compete better.

Well club moving fast now, Kakuta loaned to Rayo Vallecano, after Bertrand loan to Saints and PVA being sold to Sunderland.

If we cant find buyers for Mikel then he should included in the list of those going out on loan

the hatred for mikel is never ending on this site!!! not a huge fan of him but he gets the cdm locked down when winning is all that matters and we are ahead. as for the loans, all should be to at least championship quality teams. would like to see a few players moving to a team that has a chance of europa league games or competing for a place in their league for a spot in it. such as basel or porto

I hope we have a recall clause for Bertrand, because it is said that Ake is going on loan.

Seriously, we should send Bamford to QPR or West Ham who are in need of strikers. Not to Championship teams.
