Eto`o - Too Rich for West Ham

Eto`o - Too Rich for West Ham

Not being tied to a contract, after his Chelsea one expired, Samuel Eto`o is a free agent.

The 33 year-old proved, last season, he is able to still score goals at the highest level, albeit having a preference for scoring at home as opposed to away, therefore, with no transfer fee to pay, the option is there to ask for a slightly larger than normal salary for a short term deal.

Following that logic, we hear that Eto`o wanted a salary of £120,000 a week to sign for our London rivals, West Ham United.

West Ham, desperate to sign a striker to replace the crocked Andy Carroll (nothing new there), are of the opinion that £120,000 is too much for the veteran striker and that it wouldn`t be a deal that they`d consider to be value for money.

I guess time will tell if that decision is correct!

This article shouldn't be here at all; or we are inviting West Hammers to Vital Chelsea? I don't think there's any Chelsea follower that really cares about where Eto'o ends up.
