Chelsea Loans System: Never Incoming?

Chelsea Loans System: Never Incoming?

Chelsea have taken advantage of the brisk business of loaning out players for fees to clubs across Europe and the rest of the world over the last few years more so than most of its peers, but it's almost always a one-way traffic.

A raft of young and not-so-young players depart Stamford Bridge to partner clubs abroad annually, but nobody ever comes to our great club on loan save for the last one, one Ricardo Quaresma, if memory serves correctly, back in 2009; we usually buy outright nowadays after all, as we say, we are Chelsea...

But now that reports are saying some big names are becoming available for loan transfers, and the cry that we need a relatively young proficient striker either as competition for Torres and Drogba or replacement for the faltering Fernando as deputy to Diego Costa, is getting louder, I was wondering if anyone has yet heard of any prolific goal scorer [before the use of the term 'striker' becomes superfluous] available on loan that the club might want to consider this window, as we obviously still have enough quid to equip ourselves further for the battle ahead.

You just never know, your suggestion today or decision by someone might well be the difference between being champions come May 2015 or enduring yet another "potless" summer!

All of us want the silver pot with the golden crown for cover this term, right? You bet, me too. But let's not lose sight of the Kun Agueros and the Yaya Toures, because as it stands, it seems we're a tad too comfortable thinking Costa and Fabregas give us approximately what Aguero and Toure give City respectively, whereas I'm not quite certain, considering all the variables.

Anyone knows a good cheerleader?

Ricardo Quaresma. I think he was brought in on loan by Big Phil. Anyway, the loan fees and wages for the Marquee players being mentioned are too high. You'd rather buy a player for those sums.

Need to bring the young players back for atleast 1 season try, need to stop buy young talents from outside like Moses or Salah because they will block the entrance to the squad not for one year but for many years to come. Buying Luis and then replacing him when he turns 31 or 32 with a LB that pop out from loan or youth academy is good. Buying Moses or Salah and blocking players like T.Hazard Paizon Atsu is BAD!

For all those who say we need to stop buying young players who will never play for us - just remember - it is that unused young talent, purchased as an investment, and flipped like a downtown flat, that feed your insatiable desire for big names. For all those that protest loudly, how we need Pogba! (or the name of the day), just remember that it takes quid, and one Pogba is worth 2-and-a-half Lukakus. That money has to come from somewhere, as FFP dictates that we can't spend the owner's money, anymore. So pick your battles... Accept that football is a business where youngsters are bought and sold as commodities, or pray for a return to honest-to-God mid-table football, where we don't have much, but it's by-crackie all ours, honest and true!

I think our club do not have interest in bringing up the kids from our academy to the 1st team. Apart from JT who else? What happened to Josh, Bertrand and co. They always kill their moral by buying those high wage demand guys like torres who gave us nothing. We had gud kids like sturidge who we sold and Bamford who we have loaned again

Tbh if Jose turns round and says the kids not making the grade who are we to argue. Yes we have an opinion but Jose has the facts to hand and works day in day out with these players. If Josh or Ryan haven't made the grade when out on loan they are not going to make the grade at the club, sad as it may be.

Ryan Bertrand never did look the part, though, did he? And yet, we have 4 players named by Jose himself this season that have gotten the nod of approval. I think most of our fans only pay attention to the first team headlines...

@Solid7 is correct. We must compete and we must get quality players like every other big club so it makes every bit of sense to buy young, loan them out for experience and sell them for good cash. In fact the person who deviced this money making machine deserves a thumbs up.
