Is Schurrle a Saleable Option?

Is Schurrle a Saleable Option?

Newspaper gossip suggests that might be the case.

The notion that Atletico Madrid are of the belief that Chelsea might be persuaded to part with the German World Cup winner, appears to be growing by the day.

With Atletico having sold several of their stars their manager, the Argentine Diego Simeone, wants Schurrle in his squad due to his versatility, whereby he can play on both wings and also through the middle.

The 2014 World Cup was a good one for Schurrle, three goals leading up to the final plus an assist in the final for the winning goal, have led to Schurrle`s stock rising.

Atletico are aware that Chelsea paid Bayer Leverkusen £19 million for the player and are hoping that a similar fee will see the 23 year-old move to La Liga.

The insinuation is also being bandied about that having secured Filipe Luis and Diego Costa from Atletico, as well as recalling Thibaut Courtois from his three year loan spell with them, Chelsea might be willing to do a deal to keep the relationship between the two clubs amicable.

To which I would say, what utter bollox, does such camaraderie exist in this game of ours anymore, or is it everyone for themselves?

But more importantly, will Schurrle stay or will, as Atletico hope, he`ll be sold on?

Oh really Blue? so those who are glad to se ethe back of Lukaku are haters huh/??? Take a look in the mirror .. Schurrle while being useful hasnt exactly flattered...if we do sell Schurrle then I would be certain that we will be getting Falcao or Cavani to partner Costa ..in my opinion this would be good ..Costa Drogba and (Falcao or Cavani or similar ) sounds good to me ...and I dont hate Schurrle or anyone else..so dont imply that because maybe some people are looking for improvements that that implies that they "hate" the outgoing player....dosnt work

No way. This is Jose's secret weapon. The boy is a perfect player for our style of play.

Schurrle is "useful but hasn't flattered?" LOL One of 3 Chelsea players to score a hat trick, and he did it in his inaugural season. Seems pretty flattering to me. Considering we all agree that we tend to play against "park the bus" teams, Schurrle, for me, has been incredibly "useful". I'd even say, effective. He is a Mourinho type player, for sure... If he's on his way out, I'll believe it when I see it.

Mou has once again turned the club to a selling one.every club can now snare our players.whats the need of selling young players and getting drogbas and falcao?Mou is destroying our youth players moral.what a ***** is in our board doing.

a selling club? Jose sold two players who were squad players nothing more! Luiz was a liability and the WC showed Lukaku is so far from the finished article it was untrue!

We will be absolutely foolish to rid of Schurrle. He is a huge asset as a direct winger with a lovely finish on him. With a creative central midfielder in the form of Fabergas, I have no doubt we will see a more effective Schurrle this season.

I can`t believe we would be stupid enough to get rid of Schurrle. He is the only front man that we have who has got pace and knows where the goal is. He`s been a breath of fresh air since he joined the club. No doubt we would replace him with yet another defender.

Does anyone really believe this rumour? Seriously? A highly rated winger who plays back-up striker...

I would hate to see Andre leave. He is a great impact player and for want of a better word - a Mourinho-esque player. Unfortunately, we need to sell 1 foreign player to achieve our quota for next season and with Mikel and Torres unlikely to leave for lesser contracts perhaps £25mn for Schurrle represents good busines???

Well nothing suprises me anymore as Jose gets his way but i can say Schurrle was a Jose's buy therefore unlikely to leave but my doubts are increasing as far as TC is concerned as he has not been allocated a squad no.

That will be a big mistake. No amount will make it ok. Schurlle is not only a team player but also plays frm the heart. Only way i can see it to make sense will that He is sold and replaced by Reus .

I think if we do, we will be look at from thereon as a selling club. Anyways i see him as an integral part of jose setup and jose actually likes him very much

Good article with wrong title. I assume that's the reason why they've started the nonsense bashing again. @blue_mia and blue_mel, why cant you move on and forget about comments made in the past?
