Marin Off to Fiorentina!

Marin Off to Fiorentina!

I`m not sure that the player labeled as the German Messi ever got near emulating the feats of the Argentine maestro whilst wearing our beloved Chelsea shirt.

The Chelsea career of Marko Marin has been, to put it mildly, a disappointment, with the player making a mere six starts since joining us.

Last season the 25 year-old was sent off on loan to Seville and this season it looks as if he`ll be sent off on loan to the Italian side, Fiorentina.

But this time you get the impression there might not be a Chelsea return for the player with it being intimated that Marin can be purchased, by the Italian side, for a fee of £4.2 million if both parties are keen to do a deal.

So, just where did it all go wrong for Marko as far as his Chelsea career is concerned?

For £4.2 million we are at break-even however the loan interest represents a profit to us. Not bad business. Let him go and revive his career in italy. The guy was a 'just in case we don't qualify for champions league' buy. Success though.

Marin to Fiorentina ..!! The key part in this business is Marin is used as the Joker card for Caduardo deal to go through. Might be CFC has already offered Marin for Caduardo so that the deal happens smoothly, otherwise how can he only go to Fiorentina when there are plenty of options available.

Solid player, but nowhere near Chelsea standards right now. Also too injury prone. Good luck!

I wish him well. Nice lad but really has no future at chelsea and his body could never stand up to the physical abuse of the BPL. Hopefully he gets a permanent deal at Florence..it is not a bad place to live (actually quite beautiful and serene). Best wishes Marko!!!

I can only say Thank God! Just wrong signing, wrong time! Never was meant to be. All the best to him and hope his career gets back on track.

I've always liked Marin. Certainly not a bad player but also in no way someone worthy of a regular starting role given the other options. Wish him well and all that.

Do you guys think it would have helped his case a little if Rafael actually used him instead of an old washed up for sure out the door useless Yossi? That would make me mad that season, wasting a sub appearance on a player we don't care for.

Marko had injury problems that disturbed his chelsea career, He was one of our best players in his pre season with us...

Marko wasn't injured anymore during that part of the season. Rafa would continously leave him on bench or out of squad and include Yossi.

You guys really think we want Caduado? I don't think so. Marin will just be sold that's all. Our team is complete unless some tweaks on the centre forward position (and centre mid if Pogba suddenly became avialale) only. By look of things though, it seems the coach is ready for the new season with our current squad.
