'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Luiz on CFC, Lampard and the Champions League!

Yesterday must have been the official unveiling of David Luiz as a Paris St Germaine player.

Paraded in front of the cameras, the Brazilian international, as you`d expect, had plenty to say for himself.

Amongst the many subjects the player covered was the fact that Chelsea Football Club were prepared to sell him and also let Frank Lampard go.

This is what David Luiz had to say,

"I have to believe Chelsea or any other team will miss me. I`m not arrogant but I`m confident in my own abilities"

"Paris paid a lot for me so they obviously believe in me - it is nice to be at a club where they really want you and where they show belief in you."

Do I detect a massive dig aimed in the direction of Jose Mourinho there?

Continuing though, David Luiz spoke about Frank not being part of the Stamford Bridge furniture anymore, further adding,

"I can only speak about my experience of playing with Frank and I still think he has lots to offer at the highest level."

"Not just because he is a great player - but also because of his experience in big games."

Points that we`ve debated many times before, but, continuing, David Luiz then went on to speak about silverware, commenting,

"I have as much chance of winning major trophies here as at Chelsea or any other club in Europe."

From were I sit the only major trophy worth mentioning is the Champions League, considering La Ligue is hardly on a par with the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga or the Bundesliga.

But we must never forget, David Luiz was an integral part of that memorable night in the Allianz Arena, who`ll ever forget the stoic defending and that marvellous penalty in the shoot-out, it`s a night David Luiz remembers well and wants a repeat of, with the Brazilian finishing with,

"I have good memories of Chelsea. I won the Champions League."

"I hope it is not my only victory. I believe I can win it again with Paris."

Is that an ambition you, the Vital Chelsea membership, can see being realized, or is it just a pipe-dream?

They keep making digs when they leave, only mata was sensible enough, reporters keeps asking them crappy questions and they keep answering them,I wonder why they can't just move on without any bad blood

Merlin how do you personal message someone? Sorry to jump on your post! But I made a post as people do, and no one had to agree or disagree was just a view! Why is it that people like blue mel then have to be personal about things regarding the post? Why do people who support the same club be insulting to others for no reason? I'm very angry about this
Marcel
Thanks for the 50 mill
StamfordDLion
Seriosly i do not see anything wrong with david's words. Only the press doing their best to make it as awkward as possible.
kolagold25
Mr marcel if you would go back and read @Blue_mel's comment more calmly, i'm sure you would see the joke in what he was saying rather than being clouded by the urge of trying to fight for girl. And i mean no disrespect with that bro
kolagold25
mourinho always takes a dig at departed players as well including mata that was never a trouble maker. He was the one that said we would not miss luiz... 50 million was too good to turn down though...
Ikdaniels
I'm nt trying to fight for a "girl" I just didn't see the need for his comment! If I had a view I would base it as my own view! I made a comical article based on what she said at the game! That is all!

PSG may win the CL one day soon with the way they are developing their squad. As for the geezer, last season may not have been ideal for him. But there were some good moments for both parties over the course of Luiz's stay. His courageous effort for 120 mins in that munich triumph plus THAT penalty off a long run up will live on in our memories. So thanks geezer, and we don't mind the 50 mill pound either.

Lol... He doesn't have to come out direct and say it, but we can read between the lines. He is not happy jose sold him without a second thought, I mean I wudnt think twice too.. 50mil For an error-prone erratic defender like him. And he went on to name lampard as tho to buttress a point that CFC aren't loyal/respectful to their players. Anyways I have nothing to say to U David Luiz.. Thanks for the 50mil.... Or wait, thanks for the Redcard u gave Refael in the Man utd game too.. Really loved that act. Good riddance bro.

Sean I don't think it's that. I think he didn't like Mou and wanted to go somewhere he had more security.

50m for a player that was hardly worth 15m, is the best bit of business we have done as a club in our 109 year history. He can happily run around poking his tongue out at everyone in Paris and do as many party tricks as he wishes in a league that is truly no stronger than our own 2nd division, which is about the clowns level.

David Luiz 50 mill Good for business. Frank Lampard released bad for business....

What's wrong with saying the truth? We won't miss Luiz (football-wise)-FACT. His cheeky slide-show bob character probably is what we'll miss.

Am beginning to wonder why players leave and have something to be angry about at our club or manager while leaving. It doesn2 really bode well for the club or the manager to be honest. It's bad for our PR too. Remember KDB,remember Lukaku, remember Sturridge, even players like Lamos may have had some grieviances with the way we let him leave and maybe that explains his not minding playing for the Citizens. Mata, for all we know could also have such feelings but chooses to keep them to himself with the way he was treated here.Van Arnholt might be another. So might Bertrand too . and some other young players. Kakuta already has. Aside from Sturridge, all the others seem to have happened in Jose's time. Am not saying all these were wrong decisions on our part but why isn't it supposed to be like a tearful, happy parting. A parting of missing hearts and heartelt good wishes not bad blood. Many clubs seem to experience this too but why does it seem it is more with us than them ?
Samychim
^^^ Don't care what players say after they leave the club (unless Legends are talking negatively). Let them do and say what they want to do and say. They are not part of Chelsea anymore. They are not Chelsea employees.
