'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Utter Madness and Sheer Disbelief!

Reports filtering through are confirming that a player has died after being hit by an object as he left the field of play at the sounding of the final whistle.

The player in question is the Cameroonian Albert Ebosse who has died after being hit with an object following a game in Algeria.

Ebosse, a mere 24 years of age, was declared dead after arriving in hospital in Tizi Ouzou. Playing for JS Kabylie, the striker had scored his sides goal in the fixture with USM Alger and was hit with what was believed to be a rock when the sides left the pitch.

On a Sunday morning that is not the kind of news we like to be reading and I`m mystified as to what is becoming of the world we currently live in.

Our thoughts are with the players` family, friends and team-mates - RIP.

Poor geezer. Goes to show you can go at any minute so we gotta make the most out of every minute. Love and peace to his family and friends.

Some so called football fans are a Disgrace. Sick.

It's disappointing. I wonder why a fan would do a thing like that. Sorry for the lad and his family. It's a pity. Fans should behave. I know Algerian fans are a crazy bunch but this goes too far.
BOTUM
these North Africans football fans can be heartless, something like this happened at Egypt a couple of years back. RIP dude, fortitude to bear the forced loss for the family...

The world has become something else. When you put on your tv, its from one war to another disease. The value to humanity is steeply on the low. I also heard two large bombs rocked the shaktar donesk donbass stadium yesterday and now this. All effort should be done to bring the perpetrator to justice. You don't take a life you can't give. SHAME.
kolagold25
So sad and pointless..as Kolagold says it speaks to this very dangerous malaise in our world today that essentially cheapens human life. Sadly that mentaility has been brought to bear also upon the beautiful game. I cannot begin to imagine the heartache and grief this players family and friends must be going through now. May he RIP and may the animal masquerading as a footie fan who did this be found, and figuratively "hung and quartered".

Maybe we should all remember this next time somebody goes on one of their vitriolic Liverpool or Spurs rants. Food for thought...

Such a tragedy. Perpetrators need to be brought to justice and given harshest of sentences if not hanged outright. RIP Albert Ebosse and thoughts and prayers with his family.

The guy scored against deir team nd he was killed. D person dat did dis is heartless nd will soon be soaked in his own blood. Bokos are now in football. So sad
Demmyblues
@solid7 the reason that many people have their rants about Liverpool and Spurs, is purely based on the facts that both of those clubs supporters, have no qualms about hurling missiles towards innocent supporters. Yesterdays awful tragedy should be a wake up call to them, but somehow I doubt it.
Blueheart9
@Blueheart9 - it should be a wake up call to everyone. Nobody should be provoking anyone. Besides, how can you take the moral high ground, if you stoop to the level? Again, food for thought.
solid7
Chelsea supporters have made the news, too. Don't conveniently overlook this. It's a bunch of bull*****, nobody who does it.
solid7
*no matter*
solid7
Too bad, it's all i can say
Tugay08
@solid, I agree totally, it should be a wake up call for everyone, but certain clubs refuse to curb their behaviour. I`m not too sure if you live in England or have ever been to Liverpool, Tottenham, Leeds or Millwall, but if you have, you would know exactly what people are complaining about on this site. Forget what happened 30 years ago, we are talking about today and some clubs unfortunately turn a blind eye to their supporters actions.
