International Clash

International Clash

Although, as I understand it, the African Cup of Nations has been moved so it doesn`t interfere with the domestic seasons in European football, it is still causing problems.

There are, so I believe, a round of qualifiers for the 2015 tournament set to take place and Egypt have called Mo Salah into their squad.

We also understand that Egypt play Kenya in a friendly international on 30th August and want Salah to participate.

However, Chelsea are reluctant to release the player as the fixtures clashes with our Premier League trip to Goodison Park, to take on Everton, and they want Salah to be available.

Now to me that all sounds fair enough but then again, reconsidering, is Goodison Park the kind of place when you consider our record up there, a fixture where you`d expect Salah to take part?

TBH, I feel that we have better players than Salah at our disposal

He could come on as an impact sub, though he wasn't even in the previous 2 matchday squads!!

feelers are that Schurrle is crocked and mayn't be fit for the trip up north, so Salah might be the contingency plan or so. Not sure...

Whatever happens though, the Egyptian would be well advised not to attempt scoring a goal, considering the recent horrow show in Algeria... ;)

@Josh, lol here. If Schurrle is injured, Willian will be in the first eleven leaving Salah as the only senior winger capable of being a substitute. Thier game with Kenya is only a friendly...
