Cech Opts to Stay! (For now)!

Petr Cech was away on international duty last night, with the Czech keeper between the sticks for his country against the USA.

Cech would have been pleased to get some match-time under his belt after losing his first team spot to young Thibaut Courtois, at Stamford Bridge.

Transfer deadline day saw many rumours doing the rounds that inferred that Cech might be on the verge of leaving to join another club, either on loan or in a permanent deal.

One heinous rumour even had Ceh`s name in the same sentence as Queens Park Rangers.

It appears that Cech was well aware of these rumours and with no information coming in relation to his future, there were some worried that something was actually in motion.

As it turns out Cech was on an aircraft, not bound for some club boardroom or training ground, bu ton hi sway to play for his country.

Late in the evening Cech broke the silence, via his twitter account, to reveal he was staying a blue, much to our immediate relief.

But the decision to stay may only be a short-term decision, it is being reported that Cech has decided to fight for his first team slot this season and re-assess the situation next summer.

If his fight has been in vain, the inference is that he will then decide to try his luck elsewhere, where, as you`ll quite well understand, there will be no shortage of suitors.

Your views on the subject would be most appreciated!

best for CFC since Courtois does not want to sign a new deal yet; that kid may be up to something shady...

Surely from a team point of view,Cech has to start against Swansea after Courtois conceded three goals against Everton. If Peter doesn't play he never will.
