Chelsea Going Head-to-Head with Tottenham?

Going head-to-head with Tottenham Hotspur, is always an enjoyable experience, even more so when Chelsea come out on top.

Memories of the mauling Chelsea gave Spurs in the FA Cup semi-final in April and then the manner in which Chelsea snatched victory in the Premier League game this season, with both games being played at Wembley, warm the cockles of the heart.

Today, according to a popular red-top publication, Daily Mirror, it looks as if Chelsea and Spurs are set to go head-to-head in the transfer market.

Our referenced source is insinuating that both clubs are going to renew their interest in the Everton midfielder, Ross Barkley, this January.

The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, in the summer, but opted to wait until he`d made a full recovery from a hamstring injury.

Recent recollections put the score at 1-1 when it comes to going head-to-head in the transfer market, Chelsea pipped Spurs to the signature of Willian but Spurs beat Chelsea when it came to the capture of the Swansea striker, Llorente.

I wonder who`ll make it 2-1 come January, if the proposed move for Barkley to London materialises?

This is needless. We have more than enough options in that role. We should be on the look out for a striker.

We are only going head to head in the media, i am sure Conte has no interest in him .

Let Spurs have him. After the football lesson dished out by Manchester City last week, it should be obvious to all, that we need quality world class players in our squad to be able to competed now and in the future. Berkley, just like Oxlaide Chamberlain are nothing more than overrated, average English players, that we certainly don`t need at Chelsea. Players like Sanchez are who we should be looking at.
