The Great Will Drinkwater Start this Saturday Poll Result

The Great Will Drinkwater Start this Saturday Poll Result

This Saturday, Chelsea make the short trip, south of the river, to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Unless something miraculous happens, on the medical front, Chelsea will not be able to call upon the services of their French midfielder N`Golo Kante, with the player having suffered a hamstring injury playing for France, on international duty.

The injury prompted us to use our front-page poll facility to ask if you thought the fixture, against Crystal Palace, will see our summer signing, Danny Drinkwater, start.

We left you three options to choose from:

• Yes

• No

and

• Is he fit?

The result showed that you believe this will be the chance for Danny Drinkwater to make his Chelsea debut, with 53% opting for the Yes option.

A further 17% went for the No option believing that Antonio Conte will look elsewhere for cover for the absent N`Golo Kante.

But perhaps the 30% who went for the is he fit option may have a point.

Is Danny Drinkwater match-fit or are we to be kept waiting a little longer?

Our latest poll asks a teasing question related to the forthcoming Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

Please use your vote wisely!

From all the training video clips released this week, I have not seen Drinkwater train with the first team in a any of them. That said, it is very possible for him to join the group at some point today. But even if he joins the group (if he has recovered fully from injury), he is most likely to start from the bench on saturday. I really wish he recovers soon because we will need him, not only as depth but also because of his skill sets.
