Conte`s Incredible Relationship with the Chelsea Support

Conte`s Incredible Relationship with the Chelsea Support

Apart from the ball hitting the back of the Watford net four times, on Saturday, my abiding memory from the game was Antonio Conte crowd-surfing.

Following a run of three-games without a victory, the relief at seeing Cesar Azpilicueta put Chelsea 3-2 up was clear for all to see when Conte, in the manic style we became so appreciative of last season, plunged head first into the crowd in the lower tie of the East Stand.

Since his arrival, in the summer of 2016, Conte`s relationship with the Chelsea support has been special, on match-days his name reverberates around the ground in appreciation for what he`s done for the club.

Talking about his appreciation of the support the Chelsea fans have given him, Conte has remarked on,

"I think my relationship with the fans is incredible.

"They always support me - from my first game against West Ham, they prepared a big Italian flag in the stands. I think the feeling with the fans is incredible and I feel pressure to repay this. They call my name, and me and my players want to give great satisfaction to our fans because they deserve this.

"I trust in my work, I give all myself in my work and I feel the pressure to give satisfaction to my players, our fans and the club, because I ask a lot of myself."

Antonio Conte, definitely one of us!

The Don is full of passion which is evident & infectious lol I mean u can't help but share in his antics. The man is humble which is another quality that endears him to many. He said it himself "I suffer with my players during the game" but don't we all suffer as a club hence the crowd surfing when things go well. My hope is that he stays for a long while creating more history with the club & bringing us more glory too of course!

What we do know for certain, is that when the sad day arrives when Antonio leaves us and ultimately manages another club, he will without doubt, not start taking snide remarks about the level and intensity of our support and disrespect our club. Unlike another individual up the M6, who has proven to be the very shallow self centred *****er that everyone else had accused him of being, but nevertheless we Chelsea fans supported him right till the end.

Sadly now we have Courtois in the media today claiming that the players are fighting to keep Conte in his job . Why cant we have nice things ?

@Michael, there's nothing wrong with Tibo's remarks

I agree Joe, i just did not care for the "fighting to keep Conte " bit, everything he said is good and even gracious regarding the person that used to manage us in 15/16 .

The best manager we ever had hands down
24/10/2017 13:14:00
@Michael, I still get it. There's not suppose to be such sentiments of fighting to keep a manager. They're all employees of the club. Go out there and do your job...the club pays you good money for that

Could not agree more Joe, they are highly paid individuals , they should earn their money .
