Chelsea v West Brom - Managerial Chit-Chat
Chelsea welcome West Bromwich Albion to Stamford Bridge tonight with both managers under pressure.
Antonio Conte has seen his side not only lose their last two Premier League fixtures but lose them badly, in the process his position has been called into question and Chelsea have slipped out of the Champions League qualification places.
Alan Pardew, having taken over at West Brom, from Tony Pulis, knows he needs to get some results coon with his side bottom of the Premier League.
Ahead of the intriguing fixture, both managers have spoken to the media.
Antonio Conte had this to say,
'We have to try to stop this bad run and get three points against West Brom.
'It won't be easy, the confidence is not high but we have to trust in our work and football.
'I am not thinking for only one moment the possibility of going away from this club. My commitment and the players are totally for this club.'
It seems as if we`re going to need a battling performance tonight.
As for the West Brom boss, Alan Pardew, he had this to say,
'We are obviously under pressure because we are bottom of the league.
'I think you are going to see a lot of fight on the pitch in terms of two teams desperate to get points and turn a little bit of a corner for Chelsea and us to get a result that might be the boost that we need.
'I know Chelsea very well. I have watched them from afar. They have difficult periods but they do come through them and I have great respect for the manager and I think he will come through it - no problem.'
Chelsea, in my opinion, to take the honours in this one!
