Fabregas On Playing Against Barcelona
Over the years, thirteen players have played for both Chelsea and Barcelona.
But, one of them, is unique - Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas was born in Barcelona and has had two spells with the club, one as a youngster and one as a fully-fledged professional.
On Tuesday night, the Stamford Bridge faithful will be hoping that Fabregas can provide those defence splitting passes that can provide goal-scoring chances for the likes of Hazard, Pedro or Willian, depending on who Antonio Cone selects.
Ahead of the game, Fabregas has spoken about facing not only his former club but the club he supports, with the Spaniard remarking,
"Of course, it`s my home city, the club I supported all my life.
"But once you step on to the pitch, that just goes away, it happens naturally."
However, Cesc will be hoping that he avoids the fate that befell him when he last faced his former club, when he was on the books of Arsenal.
In that game Fabregas picked up a broken leg which kept him side-lined for the remainder of the season with Fabregas recalling,
"I was a bit injured from the start of that game.
"I had a clash in the game before against Birmingham but I decided to play.
"Then in kicking that penalty I basically fractured my fibula."<
Can Fabregas be our match-winner this Tuesday evening and give Chelsea a first-leg lead to take to the Nou Camp?
