Conte Might Stay for a Third Season Claim
Now whether Antonio Conte will be heading out of the Stamford Bridge exit door, come the end of the season, only a select few really know.
Our suspicions are that there will be a new man in charge next season, suspicions based on there being too much smoke without fire recently.
Furthermore, the events of the Etihad Stadium, did Antonio no favours when it came to the support he gets from the Chelsea support, who had trouble accepting the tactics he deployed against Manchester City.
But, from the views I`ve stumbled across, in our comments facility, I`d hazard a guess that there are more supporters wanting the Italian to remain at Chelsea than there are to see him leave.
If that is the case, then this little snippet I came across in the popular red-top publication, The Sun, might please the majority.
The popular news source carries some quotes that are attributed to an unnamed insider, at Stamford Bridge, quotes that read,
"Roman is not so trigger happy these days when it comes to firing managers.
"Champions League football is important but not a deal breaker.
"These days Roman wants to give his managers every opportunity.
"The stress point could be if Antonio starts complaining again.
"People are growing weary of it all."
Good news, bad news syndrome I`d say.
Whilst it is good to read that the hiring and firing might be about to become less frequent, the fact that the continual moaning gets a mention doesn`t fill me with hope that Antonio will be around next season, a case of a leopard not changing its spots perhaps!
