City seem to be bowing out of the fight for Falcao, basically leaving the battle between us and Mo

Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has said that they are not in for Radamel Falcao, clearing the way for Chelsea and Monaco to fight it out for his signature.

Falcao has been linked with a host of European clubs in recent weeks and after Atletico Madrid officials saying he is leaving the club in the summer the speculation has only intensified.

However, Soriano says that City have never considered a move for Falcao, while he has also poured cold water on talk of a swoop for Brazilian starlet Neymar.

"Neymar and Falcao? [These reports are] false, they have never been on our agenda," he is quoted as saying on Tuttomercatoweb.com.

Soriano also said that Sergio Aguero will not be leaving Eastland anytime soon, "The first thing I want to emphasise is that we have never thought of selling Aguero. El Kun will be happy to stay with us this year," Soriano added

Peter Kenyon and Radamel Falcao agent Jorge Mendes have agreed , El Tigre is transferred to Chelsea.
The Doyen Group, a fund linked to Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes and Former Chelsea executive Peter Kenyon, advertises its connection with the Colombia international on its website, although his current club continue to maintain they have full control of his sporting rights.

Mendes and Kenyon were both also in Singapore on Monday, and dined with Gil Marin, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo and Indonesian billionaire Peter Lim, who is rumoured to be interested in investing in Atletico.

Gil Marin did not comment on the reasons for this high-powered meal, however he did make reference to how Atletico had successfully replaced a number of high-profile attackers – Fernando Torres, Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero – when they all left the Calderon in recent seasons.

“We know how to replace a good forward,” Gil Marin said. “I do not know exactly who will be the next, but you can be sure that Atletico will have a strong team next season.”

Chelsea, who are preparing a record £54 million deal, according to British press — have all been linked to the long-haired Colombian.

There is a always something new regarding the Falcao rumours if we would have signed him when we had the opportunity we wouldn't be sitting here speculating but who let us down those numpty clowns known as our board.

I hear Monaco and now its us again, well we'll know when either club officially announces it. Till then, all this is worth as much as the air between my cheeks.

Monaco have just announced the signing of Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez. It seems understood that Falcao will be unveiled by Monday. Going to be an interesting weekend.
